Account Manager / Staff Accountant
Purpose:
To maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions and generating financial statements for multiple clients in various industries.
Education and Experience:
Secondary education, degree, or certificate required in accounting or related field.
Strong computer skills a must, to include Word, and Excel. Must have knowledge of Sage / Peachtree or QuickBooks accounting software. Must be organized, have strong interpersonal skills, and professional telephone skills.

Tasks include but not limited too:

Daily accounting tasks such as:
-
Develops / implements systems to account for financial transactions of clients.

Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
-
Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
-
Prepare and process payrolls.
-
Balances general ledgers by preparing a trial balance and adjusting entries.

Prepares financial reports.

Administrative and record keeping tasks such as:

Maintains client files and historical records in a virtual environment

Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements, by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.

Tax Preparation such as:

Prepare financial information for year-end income tax returns.

Assist with the preparation of Income tax returns
